Lonely Hearts Club
Creative Direction, Brand Identity, Brand Strategy
Lonely Hearts Club had been in business for years with something real. A point of view, a community, a product people actually wanted to wear. What they were missing was a visual identity that matched the energy they already had. No cohesive brand system, no visual language.
We started where we always do: strategy. Audience research, competitive landscape, brand positioning, and messaging architecture. The foundation that makes everything built on top of it mean something. For a streetwear brand rooted in skate and music culture, that meant getting specific about who LHC was actually talking to and what they stood for beyond the latest drop.
From there, the brand identity design took shape around a visual language that felt lived-in and deliberate. Bold type, a high-contrast palette with unexpected accent pops, and a system flexible enough to stretch across retail environments, look books, and social content consistently.
The measure of a brand identity system goes beyond how looks at launch. It’s whether it still holds up years later, when the team is bigger, the product line has expanded, and the brand is showing up in national retailers like Zumiez. The LHC identity has done exactly that.
